📌 As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll join a newly established team at Corti focused on a single product, Corti Code. You will be part of a skilled and mission-driven group of product managers, software engineers, and machine learning engineers responsible for building Corti’s answer to the complexities of medical coding. We want to build a product that ensures quality healthcare for all patients and we believe everything should start from well-documented patient data! You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our skilled machine learning engineers can serve their models in the most efficient, stable, and scalable way. You’ll own all aspects of our software backend and will be responsible for building and designing the backend of a product that will support clients across multiple geographies. We are located in a beautiful office, next to Nyhavn in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Coffee breaks have a whole new meaning when you can take them next to the canals! ☕ If you are not based in Copenhagen, we are also hybrid- and remote-friendly.

The impact you'll have

• Owning the technical development of a highly available, performant, multi-region SaaS solution

• Having the opportunity to define the backend blueprint for a new software product

• Hands-on development of an early-stage solution where design choices matter

• Collaborate across our product and platform teams to define and improve best practices across Corti

• Work with colleagues in design and code reviews

• Bridge technical communication between end-users, technical leads, and Corti engineers

For this role, you’ll bring

• Multiple years of experience as a software engineer working with object-oriented programming languages (we use Python). If you have the right background, the exact number of years of experience does not matter to us.

• Hands-on experience with cloud computing architecture and development

• Experience running, monitoring, and operating REST APIs globally, at scale

• Experience with containers and orchestration tools

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• A passion for writing clean and efficient code.

Nice to have, or maybe you want to learn about the following

• Understand what it takes to build integration with other systems used in healthcare, such as electronic medical record systems

• Experience designing data storage solutions

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code software, such as Terraform

• The work location for this position is preferred in Copenhagen but remote collaboration is also possible

• Full-time position, starting as soon as possible
